Dedicated to promoting film in every possible way, the Cleveland Film Society sponsors events ranging from film appreciation seminars to hands-on, movie-making workshops. The Society is probably best known as the sponsor of the Cleveland International Film Festival, flooding Tower City Cinemas with worthy and rarely seen movies for nearly two weeks every year. Less splashy events include an annual Midwest Filmmakers Conference and screenings based around thematic subjects.
